Amaretto is a luscious and sweet Italian liqueur that exudes a distinctly divine almond flavor. Made from almonds or apricot pits, it can be served by itself (try it on the rocks!) or used to craft lip-smacking good cocktails. If you love the flavor of almonds, amaretto is for you! Delight taste buds with a lovely balance of sweet and tart flavors with this holiday cocktail.

Ingredients
Vanilla Spiced Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (split lengthwise )
- 1 cinnamon stick
Sweet December Cocktail
- 1 ¾ oz Amaretto
- 1 ¾ oz orange juice
- ½ oz Vanilla spiced syrup*
- 1 oz egg white
- Grounded nutmeg
Instructions
Vanilla Spiced Syrup
- Add water and sugar into a small saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove from heat and add the vanilla bean and cinnamon. Let steep for several hours.
- Strain into a jar or bottle. Will keep, tightly sealed and refrigerated.
Sweet December Cocktail
- Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker without ice.
- Using hand blender, blitz the ingredients for 3-4 seconds.
- Add ice and shake.
- Double strain into Coupette glass. Garnish with grounded nutmeg.
